Being
mountain guides we have always had a serious interest in what is happening
outside and up in the mountains of the Sierra Nevada. We have kept detailed
daily weather records
since 2005. Please note, the current station was installed at the end of September 2008 and will need some time to build up the historical data.
Now we have upgraded our systems to provide you with up to date weather data. We have invested in one of the worlds top weather stations, a wireless version of the Davies Vantage Pro 2 weather station.
The system was purchased from UK suppliers, UK Weathershop.
The system includes:
Standard - barometer, wind vane & anemometer, rain gauge and in / out temperature and humidity
Vantage Pro2 offers features such as forecasting, hi-low records, on-screen graphing, and much more. Quick view icons show the forecast at a glance-sunny, partly sunny, cloudy, rain or snow-while a moving ticker-tape display gives more details.
This advanced weather station uses frequency hopping spread spectrum radio technology to transmit weather data wirelessly to its receiver up to 300m.
The integrated sensor suite combines the rain collector, temperature and humidity sensors, and anemometer into one package-making setup easier than ever and improving performance and reliability.
For improved accuracy, temperature and humidity sensors are housed inside a radiation shield. The shield protects against solar radiation and other sources of radiated and reflected heat.
Includes Vantage Pro2 console/receiver, integrated sensor suite, and mounting hardware. Integrated sensor suite includes rain collector, temperature and humidity sensors, anemometer, 12 m (40') anemometer cable, and solar panel. Electronic components are housed in a weather-resistant shelter.
The system includes "Weather Display Live", an add-on for Weather Display which allows you to display live weather data over the web from your weather station in nearly real time.
