Area List of Mountains Sierra Nevada

The difficulty in the Sierra Nevada has always been the reliance on rather poor mapping. Different maps gave differing heights and names of peaks, for instance! With the recent newer maps the standard has improved considerably. This classification is based upon the following map:
Parque National de Sierra Nevada La Alpujarra (Editorial Penibetica) 1:40000 (www.penibetica.com)
(Not all Grid Refs have been checked on the ground)

"The Manuels"
With the era of "peak bagging" firmly upon us and with loads of "Munros", Corbetts, Grahams, Wainwrights etc to fill our days with, it has been suggested by one of our regular guests, Paola Mallenzi of London, that the Sierra Nevada 3,000 metre peaks be called, collectively as the "MANUELS". Why not? If you think it a good idea then please let us know if you intend to complete them. We may be able to help!
