In September and October here in southern Spain we get the warms air of the Sahara clashing with colder air from northern Europe. Our house is situated just where the two air masses collide. The result can be seen in this video. Hailstones the size of golf balls. Gale force winds ripping the plants to shreds. All part of life in the Alpujarras!
