Few other birds could sum up the dry, arid summer months of southern Spain better than the magnificent Griffon Vulture (Gyps fulvus). The hot, parched valleys and remote, mountain peaks of Andalucia provide the perfect habitat for this impressive raptor, and Kiersten of Birdwatch Alpujarras has been spending time with her camera in one of the species’ local strongholds…the El Torcal Nature Reserve.
