Salomon Cosmic 4d GTX

Purchased some of these a few months ago, very light and comfortable, need to order 1/2 size bigger than you normally use, as they do come in slightly snug. Been on a few yomps with them, no issues, should be ideal for snow shoeing. |

RE: Salomon Cosmic 4d GTX
Look a really good boot but still think I'd prefer a winter boot in snow and mud. Post a full review after you've tried them in the snow in the Sierras in March?

RE: Salomon Cosmic 4d GTX
Well, I can only say that these Salomon Cosmic boots worked a dream, snow-shoeing, very water proof, and light, ideal for winter skills and general use on lower mountain slopes. However, would not recommend being used for mountaineering. Not durable and cannot take crampons.

Anna these look great for 'fast and light' summer use....how good is the ankle support on rocks ? I need to replace my old summer Salomons as they are wrecked but would like something I can trail run in as well..what do you reckon?

Hi Would not recommend trail running, but supportive around the ankle and hold their own walking over rocks, (personal experience last weekend). |
