Snow and Ice Conditions 4th December 2010
Sierra Nevada. Snow level 2000m but moderate accumulations above 2500m. Changeable snow with some depths of 1m or more of powder especially on NE slopes. On open slopes above 2800m there are deep ridges of snow/ice. Some areas of transparent ice too.
Avalanche dangers exist on N and NE slopes where drifting has occurred. Care required. Spanish Highs Mountain Guides |
