Snow and Mediterranean Pine Voles
Whilst recently walking to the Poqueira Hut in the Sierra Nevada I spotted some little holes with flattened tunnel type areas. These are normally covered by snow but this area had a little snow melt and showed these little homes. Turns out they are the homes of either snow voles or mediterranean pine voles. We must have been walking over these little animals living under the snow, I hope they have never been crampond

Re: Snow and Mediterranean Pine Voles
Poor little things, I suppose people regularly deviating from the normal path due to the lower snow line this year has destroyed their habitat
