Who needs expensive summer walking boots? - Tinkerbell - 07-16-2009 02:49 PM Ive just returned from a 3 day trip into the Sierra Nevada mountains wearing my trusted Aldi (yes you read correct ) walking boots. They cost 16 pounds and are the best things ive had on my feet in a long time. Light weight, comfy, no blisters, no sore or hot feet etc. I recommend you try them, im sure they are not great for the UK where it rains much of the time, but for the summer here in the Sierra Nevada mountains you cant get a better boot. Other people wear expensive "named" boots and end up with blisters and sore feet because they think they have to have a "named" product as it will be the best - Not so and my feet are proof of that.
