Our group found snow above Bubion in the Alpujarras this morning and made access to the Refugio de Poqueira very difficult. High winds and snow hampering progress. Might have to return to Capileira and try again tomorrow.

Was that via the gorge or via Ac. alta route ?

That was via Capileira and the acequia alta. Note that now the route back down the gorge is largely free of snow, the paths have been repaired and the gorge route is now the best and most sheltered way to access the Poquiera hut.
