YakTrax
Bought a pair of these whilst in the Lakes last winter and have been using them on my ski boots whilst walking to/from ski lifts. They are brilliant on hard snow and ice and can be fitted quickly and easily. At around £15 they're cheaper than many similar products. Highly recommended! http://www.yaktrax.co.uk/

Look good. If I didnt live in southern Spain I might well give these a try!
Do you think these are an "lightweight" alternative to crampons for some gentle winter walking? Websites Spanish Highs Mountain Guides and Inspiring the Adventure |

I would always use crampons though on steep, icy slopes. |
