Where in the UK you can get your precious maps laminated

I have recently had some excellent map lamination service from Mike Thompson at http://www.aqua3.com/

He is currently working on a specialised map of the Patagonian Icefield for us.

You can either supply him the map hard copy itself or via digital services. The lamination is superb although I have yet to test it on a series of bad weather days.

I have had my two Sierra Nevada maps laminated by Hope Digital and they have done a superb job. They coated them and posted them back to me in Spain the same day they received them from me. Although they haven't been subjected to snow, wind or driving rain yet, the coating appears robust and will certainly prolong the life of the maps.

The other benefit of Mike at Aqua3 printing your map is that he uses a plastic paper so with the lamination its like double protection. I can vouch for the lamination in howling winds and rain in the Peak District!!
