Terra Nova Laser Ultra 1
Those of you who know me well will know Im always on the hunt for kit which weighs 'nothing at all'. My TN Laser Lite has been fab for wild camps and Oli (big dog) can fit in too if I leave the inner open. I was excited to see an e-mail from TN detailing 'the worlds lightest tent' which weighs in (packed weight) 581g. My laser is getting on a bit so I investigated further. I saw a picture which resembles my laserlite inner with an old bit of plastic over the top ....cost £650 !!! I would be interested to know what others think of it Huh P.S This is no disrespect to TN as Im a devoted laser lite and quasar fan !

Yep exactly....the price of going 'lightweight'....you can buy a bombproof Super quasar for less than that !!

RE: Terra Nova Laser Ultra 1
We took the light quasar this time to Patagonia, wont do it again, although it was very light compared to the normal one, there were times when we had to hold onto the tent and we still ended up with bent poles Confused The normal quasar was bombproof! Lesson learnt.

Will be interesting to find out though if anyone has tried the tent your talking about to see how it performs.

RE: Terra Nova Laser Ultra 1
Ive just managed to get a second hand super quasar off e-bay mega cheap....I was thinking it's only a fraction heavier than the standard quasar but much more room for communal tent games if we get tent bound in Patagonia 2012 ?!!! Smile
