Sleeping Mats ?
looking at purchasing some sleeping mats for the winter, can't decide on self inflating Thermarest or foam mat, any thoughts on this subject would be appreciated.

If it is solely for the winter then I believe the Thermarest ones cant be bettered. We have some Alpkit ones which are worth looking at too. BUT.... dont try using them in summer conditions as they will puncture very rapidly on the spiky terrain! Websites Spanish Highs Mountain Guides and Inspiring the Adventure |

Thanks Richard, managed to pick up two Thermarest mats in Jersey at the weekend, nice to see they do women specific (and only 16 oz).
