Parnassius Apollo Butterfly
[pre][Image: 11-june-caterpiller.jpg][/pre]Whilst going up Mulhacen the other day I saw this little fellow crawling by, so took a picture of him and when I got back I posted the picture on a web forum I use to help identify all things nature to Spain.

Turns out its a rare butterfly and very much protected (glad I didnt tread on it) and is endemic to the Sierra Nevada. It is a Parnassius Apollo and turns into this beautiful butterfly. [Image: parnassius-apollo-butterfly.jpg]
