Montana skins balling up!

Montana skins balling up!
Whilst out ski touring yesterday we had a small problem at times with skins balling up under the toe of the boot area. Had to happen of course on the steepest part of our ascent!
Not ever had problems this bad. It was like skiing up on 2 snowballs at times and we had to waste some time clearing the bases! Bit dangerous Is this a problem for Montana skins or was it just "bad luck" and we hit balling conditions at just the wrong time? Spanish Highs Mountain Guides |
