Mixed conditions in the Sierra Nevada for backcountry skiing

Yesterday we skied up the Loma del Dilar to the telescope above the ski centre, making use of unused ski pistes. Lots of powder off piste (1m new snow). On piste conditions are fantastic! On ridge crests there is some bare ice and also some breakable crust forming. All in all, mixed conditions for backcountry skiing in the Sierra Nevada.
