Icy ridges and avalanche dangers in the Sierra Nevada

Heavy rain and snow above 1800m in the past week. It's going to be great when the weather settles down a bit but at the moment we have noticed much water ice lying around, especially on ridges. Crampons absolutely essential. Also concentration because you are going to find it difficult if not impossible to stop a fall under these circumstances.
