How much camping gas should I take for a night away?

Ok here's a question I should know but don't. I seriously over calculated how much fuel I needed on my last expedition to Patagonia.

How much gas should I need to....?
(a) Cook overnight meal (1 litre water boil)
(b) Prepare 2 hot drinks (2 boils of 500ml)

In addition I will need to melt snow to make about 6 litres water a day. Temperatures ranging between 2 and 10 deg C.
A gas bottle normally provides 220 to 230g weight of gas.

Any help or advice?
