Dangers around Paso de los Franceses and Paso de los Machos

Beware of the area around Paso de los Franceses and Paso de los Machos in the Sierras at the moment. Much wet snow in already dangerous condition. The area is a notorious blackspot and marks the old road from the Collado del Cariguela to Mulhacen. Much used as access to Mulhacen in the summer month. Now it's not summer!
