Clothing to avoid
Has anyone else had the same clothing disaster with Trangoworld clothing?
I bought a pair of Trangoworld walking trousers 6 months ago. They looked like they were a good, robust pair of trollies and cost ?70. I only wore them about 8 times and the backside ripped beyond repair. As I had only been walking in them and not sliding down the stairs on my backside I was quite miffed! So for the first time ever I complained to the manufacturing HQ, Trangoworld in Zaragoza. The guy was helpful and told me to send them to him, I did and he agreed to send me a replacment pair...they lasted about 10 trips out, again only walking and nothing out of the ordinary. This time Trangoworld told me tough luck! So personally, if anyone out there is looking to buy Trangoworld kit....don't >

Re: Clothing to avoid
Couldn't agree more! Never got on with this Pactlite stuff (and it's derivatives).
Funny how the trend towards "lightweight" clothing in actual fact costs more money for less material, but supposedly produces better "breatheability" and performance.... NOT! This is just clever marketing and fashion trends coming into effect. For winter mountaineering you need a hard wearing, tough outer. To hold a person using the classic belay (backed up by normal winter belays, of course) means the rope runs round your back. To stop a fall there is considerable friction around the back. Paclite may be light but it will fall to bits in no time at all doing this! A friend of mine was practicing this with a brand new 300 euro lightweight jacket. Result ......... his blue jacket now has a horizontal (and permeable), white band across it Spanish Highs Mountain Guides |

Clothing to avoid
Thanks. Ill work out the uniform, bread bag, rucksack/tornister and A-frame contents then, and compare that to a few soldbuch kit lists, and will put everything issued that doesnt go in the aforementioned in the clothing bag then. How does that sound? I want to complete the "just arrived"
