Bonellis Eagle above Padul, Granada
Was out with the guys from http://www.birdwatchalpujarras.com yesterday in the wetlands near Padul. Lots of smaller birdlife around, reedwarblers, corn buntings, weavers, stonechat, kestrels etc
The highlight of the day though, totally unexpected, was the unmistakable sight of a Bonellis Eagle. This is quite a scare bird in Europe and only a few hundred pairs remain, so a good sighting. No photos though unfortunately. Spanish Highs Mountain Guides |
