Bonelli's Eagles above Lanjaron
I have seen 1 adult and 1 juvenile Bonelli's Eagles recently above Lanjaron in different areas. These are rare birds of prey that are in decline throughout Europe, but it seems they must be breeding locally which is great news. A survey done in 2005 suggested there are maybe 100 individual birds in the province of Granada.
