Black Redstarts returning to Lanjaron for winter
The Black Redstart has a year-round presence in most of Spain, favouring rocky slopes and crags, and also ruins and old buildings where it can find the holes it needs for nesting. These birds have been turning up at my house in huge numbers eating the berries on a bush which is how I managed to snap this one. They cleared the berries in 2 days!! Beautiful birds.
