Accesses to the refugio de Poquiera July 2011
Good report and photos about the state of the access to the Poqueira hut at http://campobasefm.com/refugiossn/poqueira/

Translated into English below

Hello,

From the Refugio Poqueira. We send you photos of the accesses, environment and mountain area today, Thursday July 7.

You can come to the refuge from Capileira along the route of the Power Station Cebadilla (3-4 hours), the path between the acequias (3 hours) or the Hoya del Portillo (this way is more comfortable and less ascent , 2h30 'approx). From Trevélez by the Alta Chorrillo (4-5 hours).

If you decide to come via the Carihuela keep in mind that there is some snow, especially below the Carihuela del Veleta. There are still areas where the old road is completely buried.

The ascent of La Mosca from Cueva Secreta and then to the Collado del Ciervo and has very little snow, we just have to cross some small snowfields.

The climb to Mulhacén is clean of snow and only small patches of snow left by the Rio Mulhacén.

The bivouacs of the Caldera and Villavientos are in a good state and we remind you to take any trash with you that you find in the mountains.

The tf Point Capileira information and interpretation of Altas Cumbres (Microbus Chorrillo Capileira-High) is 958-763090.

Cheers and enjoy the mountains during the summer.
