What? Well, it is a simple combination of flour, salt and baking powder. Doesnt weight much. Taken up the hills it is mixed with water until a little sticky, then rounded into a flat shape resembling a "scone" or thick chapati like mix.
Fry on your normal stove for 2 mins each side and you have home made bread for the mountains!
Not my idea tho' ................. Ernest Shackleton used it on his epic journey in 1914-1916 to the Antarctic. Going to try it out next weekend on a 3 dayer in the Sierra Nevada where, unlike him, I wont be existing on penguins and leopard seals!
